A back to basics build makes a return to simpler skills, techniques and products that might be accessible to beginners, or to those looking to take another step in their early modelling experiences.

In this video I build the Airfix Sherman Firefly VC starter set in 1/72 scale (A55003) splitting into 2 parts. In the first I end up using some fairly accessible products and techniques to complete the kit, then in the second part I add some additional elements which could futher enhance the look of the model. I round off the video with a review of the kit and sharing my thoughts on this product.
