We as Human Beings, hold great power in our Hands. Our Human Body is considered to be the Microcosm, which is a miniature form of the Universe (Macrocosm) that is made up of 5 Elements, (Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space) and each Finger represents 1 out of 5 Elements.
1. Thumb represents the Fire element
2. Index Finger the Air element
3. Middle Finger the Ether-Space element
4. Ring Finger the Earth element
5. Little Finger the Water element
By combining and interlocking of our fingers (Hands) in different ways, we create an energetic seal, a yoga mudra, otherwise known as “Hand Gesture”, which in combination with Pranayama and Meditation, can be used to aid in the improvement of various physical and mental illnesses, as well as help us on our path to attain Spiritual Awakening/ Enlightenment.

About The Host: Yiannis Demetriou is a Certified Yoga Teacher. Having various Health ailments including depression, IBS – “irritable bowel syndrome” and spending over a decade Exercising, and following different dietary plans, otherwise considered a Gym Freak, having Lordosis and not knowing any better and straining my body in different ways, I took the initiative to delve into the World of Yoga in order to heal my body and mind.
