In 2017, an incident occurred at Cahills Crossing in the Northern Territory that stayed with those involved long after the day ended.
This film presents a single firsthand account from a former police officer who was part of the response. A first responders reality when dealing with critical incidents.
Hopefully the general public can appreciate this perspective of what first responders (rangers and police) may be faced with when working in the remote Northern Territory.

About Cahills Crossing:
Cahills Crossing is a 70m concrete causeway across the East Alligator River on the boundary of Kakadu National Park and Arnhem Land. It is a tidal river system inhabited by saltwater crocodiles, where water levels and conditions can change rapidly. Despite warning signs and viewing platforms, people take risks and in some cases pay the ultimate price.
The man involved was a well known local, and returning him to his family was a priority for those on scene.
Wild Creek® document raw, real and rogue encounters in the Australian Outdoors.
