Hats Off (and Masks On) To Those On The Frontline Of Tourism

Описание: #SouthAfricaIsTravelReady, of that there is no doubt. Protocols have been agreed, pledged allegiance to, procedures duly amended and hand sanitiser purchased in copious quantities. All of this is being done to facilitate the reopening of the #SouthAfrican domestic leisure tourism industry and save the more than 1,5 million jobs it provides.

But ensuring the industry remains not only open but more importantly safe, falls to all role-players within the space. You and I, as the consumer, included.

I took a late-week break last week to see first (gloved) hand for myself what these protocols mean and what my responsibilities are in the process of keeping things safe.

Thanks to the team at The Capital on the Park in Sandton for hosting me and allowing me access to better understand just how ready the industry is.

As President Cyril Ramaphosa said, it is now up to each one of us.
