Montreal (or Montréal in French) is the second largest city of Canada after Toronto. Montreal was founded in 1642 by the French in the Canadian Province of Quebec (or Québec). Some highlights of the city are the downtown with the old Montreal centre, the Olympic Stadium, the Notre-Dame Basilica, the Old Port and the Saint Joseph's Oratory of Mount Royal.
