10. Actuary's Role in Enterprise Risk Management

Описание: In this session, we are going to explore the Enterprise Risk Management Role in the insurance companies and how actuaries contribute to the ERM area.
Our speaker:
Ereny Azmy is Chief Actuary & Chief Risk Officer at Allianz Egypt.
In 2005, Ereny earned her bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from the Faculty of Commerce - English Section, Cairo University. Later, she qualified as Associate of the Society of Actuaries in addition to being a member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
Upon her graduation in 2005, she started her career in Allianz Egypt as an Actuarial Analyst and since then she advanced in her career to hold various positions within the organization, mainly in the actuarial, reinsurance, and risk management areas.
Ereny has been the Chief Actuary and Chief Risk Officer for Allianz Egypt since 2017 where she is responsible for both the life and non-life actuarial and risk management functions.
At her current position, Ereny’s focus includes reserving, valuation, profit source analysis, regulatory reporting, overseeing the company’s risk profile, implementation of the new financial standards, namely; IFRS17 as well as evaluating the underwriting and reinsurance activities to serve as a guide to the Board of Management.
In addition to her current designation at Allianz, Ereny is also a member of the Individual & Actuarial Expertise Committee in the Egyptian Insurance Federation and a member of Egyptian Actuarial Tables Committee in the Financial Regulatory Authority.
