AAPSU Bylaws Row: Tadak Pakba Demands Immediate Action Before Elections
Tadak Pakba, President of the All Tagin Students’ Union and Vice Chairman of the All Arunachal Community Base Students’ Union, held a press briefing in Itanagar held today, ahead of the 2026 AAPSU election in Arunachal Pradesh.
During the briefing, Pakba demanded the immediate removal of Article Part 8 and Article 20 Clause 3(j) from the AAPSU constitution, terming the provisions unjust and discriminatory. He stated that proceeding with the election without amending these clauses would seriously undermine fair representation.
Pakba said the union would continue to push for urgent constitutional reforms to ensure an inclusive and transparent election process.
Responding to allegations raised by the All Papumpare District Students’ Union, Pakba clarified that the movement is aimed at safeguarding the rights and interests of community-based student bodies.
He also issued a strong warning, stating that failure to address the demands could disrupt the smooth and orderly conduct of the forthcoming AAPSU election.
