This webinar provides an overview on the diagnosis, assessment, and medical complications of children and adolescents with feeding and eating disorders. Feeding and eating disorders affect nearly every system in the body, and signs and symptoms vary depending on the child or adolescent’s eating disorder behaviors. The early recognition of medical complications can help facilitate timely treatment and an appropriate level of support. Most of these medical complications improve or resolve with nutritional rehabilitation and cessation of eating disorder behaviors. Prompt recognition of the medical complications can improve short- and long-term health in these young people.
