I'm going to tell you gene therapy can be used for visually impaired patients. Here we have a patient. She has Retinitis Pigmentosa visually impaired. We have taken the next gen sequencing she and and her brother both have the disease. However with nextgene sequencing when there were two mutations Wagner's and ocm with optic atrophy part has completely gone and today she is practically normal because she can read the last but one line in one eye and four lines in the other eye which is a very very good factor. For Retinitis Pigmentosa which is visually impaired now what did we do there we did gene therapy. So we take one drop of the blood own fetal DNA fetal stem cells injections to the patient slowly slowly slowly we're able to remove certain amounts of mutation and improve the vision of that patient. So we can so far say in the last 20 years at least the patient will not go blind we may not be able to really improve the patient fully up to what you and me see but definitely he will improve how much he will improve we cannot say because we don't know what that the patient come with in the first place if the patient was very very bad he'll become better he was much better he'll become even better so the angle keep going like this what we see in visually impaired patients is there's always a retinal or an optic atrophy most of these patients will be like this DNA mutation any congenital error will 90% be affected also with Retinitis Pigmentosa or RP however there are certain other arenas where we can still have visual impairment like diabetic retinopathy glaucoma hypertension bleeding in the eye and so many other various diseases yet each one of them can be aided with gene therapy.
