Showing an Alpine iDA-X305 working with a current lightning connector iPhone. This uses the standard USB cable that came with the X305 and the short USB to 30pin adaptor that also came with the X305. Using an Apple 30pin to lightning connector (has to be genuine Apple) to connect the iPhone to the 30pin Alpine connector.
Despite what I say this is with an iPhone not an iPod...
