Ziyarah of Ameenullah is highly esteemed as is cited in all books of Ziyarah. In the words of `Allamah al-Majlisi, this form is the best in-text and chain of authority. It is recommended to say it at all of the holy shrines. It is narrated on the authority of Jabir (ibn `Abdullah al-Ansari) on the authority of Imam al-Baqir (‘a) that Imam Zayn al-Abidin (‘a), once, visited the holy tomb of Imam `Ali (‘a). He stood at the tomb, wept, and pronounced the following words: Imam al-Baqir (‘a) then added, “Indeed, any one of our adherents (Shi`ah) who pronounces these words at the tomb of Ameer al-Mu'mineen (‘a) or the tomb of one of the Imams (‘a) shall certainly have his prayer lifted up on a ladder of light, carrying the seal of the Holy Prophet’s ring, and it shall be kept so until it will be delivered to the Riser from Muhammad’s Household (namely, Imam al-Mahdi) who will receive the reciter of that prayer with good tidings, greetings, and honour.” the Ziyarah of Ameenullah is considered one of the general forms of Ziyarah of Imam `Ali (as), one of the forms of Ziyarah on the Eid al-Ghadir Day, and one of the comprehensive forms of Ziyarah that can be said at all the shrines of the Holy Imams.

امام محمد باقرؑ نے اس زیارت کی فضیلت کے بارے میں فرمایا:
اہل تشیّع میں سے جو بھی اس زیارت اور دعا کو امیرالمؤمنینؑ اور ائمہ میں سے کسی امام کی قبر کے پاس جاکر پڑھے، بے شک خداوند متعال اس زیارت اور دعا کو نور کے ایک مکتوب کے اندر اوپر کی طرف لے جاتا ہے اور رسول اللہؐ کی مہر سے ممہور فرماتا ہے اور یہ مکتوب بدستور محفوظ رہتا ہے حتی کہ اس کو قائم آل محمدؑ کے حوالے کردیتا ہے چنانچہ آپ(عج) اس زیارت کے پڑھنے والے کا بشارت، تحیت اور کرامت کے ساتھ استقبال کرتے ہیں.[13]۔[14]۔[15]
یہ زیارت روز غدیر کے لئے حضرت علیؑ کی زیارات مخصوصہ میں سے بھی ہے اور زیارات جامعہ میں سے بھی ہے جو تمام ائمہ کی قبور کے قریب پڑھی جاسکتی ہے۔[16]
