Lidl Bakery Haul ~ Grocery Haul ~ Fresh Baked Goods Ready When You Are ~ Noreen's Kitchen

Описание: Time for a LIdl bakery haul! The good folks at Lidl grocery contacted me and asked me to have a look and share their awesome bakery items and boy were were impressed. We must have looked like half crazy people when we went the other day to fill our carts with a little bit of everything! When I say a little, I really mean a lot. We got some of everything they have to offer with the exception of their awesome butter croissants which they were out of to our disappointment. But no fear, we have lots of other delicious bakery items to share with you! Let's get our haul on!

Not everyone has time or the inclination to bake their own breads, cakes and goodies. When you want great bakery items, Lidl is a wonderful option. They bake fresh goods, several times daily. Everything is always fresh. We have fallen in love with their baguettes, French bread, croissants and pretzels. Yes, soft pretzels ready when you want them. They are just delicious. They also have pretzel buns for sandwiches or specialty burgers and boy are they great! Soft and malty tasty with that great brown exterior and soft center.

They always have kaiser buns which are also great for sandwiches or just on their own as a dinner roll with some butter. We also tried their cheese rolls. I was not sure what those were so we broke one open for you. It is a soft ciabatta style bun with cheese, I think Parm, baked into the top. Perfect for enjoying on it's own or as a carrier for a great sandwich!

We picked up several loaves of fantastic bread. Everything from a traditional German sourdough rye that I cannot wait to use in a special recipe for you, to a beautiful semolina Italian loaf as well as a traditional ciabatta, an olive ciabatta, and a walnut loaf. Then there is Rick's favorite, the jalapeno cheese loaf, which is a soft egg style brioche that is studded with cheddar and fresh slices of jalapeno pepper. That bread is great. It comes in a baking tray and you could enjoy it by itself, which is how Rick likes it or divide it in three even squares and serve burgers on that for an extra punch of amazing flavor!

Of course, we could not go to the Lidl bakery without getting a selection of sweets! The donuts are always buy five get one free and they had some really good glazed, raised donuts and some blueberry raised that actually had a ring of blueberry jam in the center! The black forest donuts were a chocolate donut glazed with cherry and vanilla and with a cherry jam in the center! They also had the most beautiful jelly donuts, I believe I have ever seen. High and light and filled with raspberry jam.

The selection of pastries is impressive as well. Cinnamon swirls, hazelnut/chocolate croissants, pecan maple braids and more. There were actually some things we left behind because we just didn't have room for it at home. Everything we took home was delicious!

Because there was so much to share, much of the bread was wrapped and frozen for later use. I have plans for each loaf in a special recipe to come in later videos. Stay tuned!

I hope you will give the LIdl bakery a try the next time you visit, because it is well worth it. The prices are incredible and they beat just about every other grocery store bakery that I have compared them too in price as well as quality!
