"She Makes Me Laugh" is a song performed by American rock-pop band The Monkees and written by Rivers Cuomo.
"She Makes Me Laugh" was the first single off Good Times!, a 2016 Monkees album released to commemorate the band's 50th anniversary.
The verse melody is originally from Cuomo's May 1998 demo "I'm So Glad I Got a Girl to Think Of." This melody was later repurposed in 2001 for the chorus of “Stupid Feelings”. On November 23, 2020 Cuomo's demos were released as part of Alone XII: The White Year. Cuomo added lyrics about Scrabble and canoeing after singer Micky Dolenz expressed that the lyrics felt geared at someone much younger. Dolenz improvised the lyric about "directing traffic in the mall."
