Joda East Iron Mine (JEIM), operational since 1956 and situated in the Keonjhar district of Odisha, is one of our fully mechanised captive iron mines. Accorded a 5-star rating by Ministry of Mines, Government of India for doing sustainable mining, we have adopted environmental management systems as per the ISO guidelines, incorporated best practices, modern technologies and innovated to ensure our mining activities are efficient and sustainable. Our focus is to undertake proactive measures to maintain the biodiversity and a healthy eco-system. Our initiatives, first in any iron mine in India, include massive afforestation, reclamation, retention of silt, soil remediation and more.
