Redback Spider Roundup Trap Inspections Summer Solstice Mega Fires Educational Video

Описание: It's the peak of the spider season in Australia. And while MEGA fires are burning it's time to look for Redback Spiders in the backyard. This time I can't use the flamethrower because of fire bans but I do have spider lures that set up the perfect Redback spider home. They have been out for a few months so it's going to be interesting to see what spiders have made a home in the spider lures. It's actually very curious to see what's happened in such short time. The Redback spider activity hasn't been too bad, the weather has been very dry and warm. I'm not seeing many Christmas beetles this year so maybe nature is being conservative. Even the ant's seem to be less active. I do find a small stick insect in the Redback's web near a spider lure and this becomes a lovely Christmas feast for Mrs Redback spider. The spider lures are more about knowing where the spider are so I can then control their fate. It's amazing how effective the smaller very cheap KMart inverted metal pot is at attracting spiders. As for the Rolls Royce BBQ starter version, well that's proving to be not as successful as I hoped. Proves that Redback spiders don't like living fancy.
