Cape Town artist Lucie Demoyencourt has brought her iconic Shellegance designs to life as part of the V&A Waterfront’s festive season and the result is pure summer magic.
As part of Joy From Africa to the World, Lucie collaborated with Eswatini-based Quazi design, who transformed her signature shell shapes into larger-than-life papier-mâché forms. Lucie and her team then hand-painted each piece, translating her delicate ceramic craft into bold, joyful festive décor.
The result? Decorations that feel like summer, warm days, beach walks, and collecting shells under the sun.
