'St Helens' - aptly timed for a release on St Patricks Day, 17th March 2026, is the third and final single from Odette Michell's critically acclaimed second studio album 'The Queen of the Lowlands'.

Featuring a stunning Irish whistle solo from Michael McGoldrick, the track also features folk stalwarts Lukas Drinkwater on the double bass and Stu Hanna on fiddle and production.

The song itself is an uplifting celebration of Odette's Irish roots and the music video features Odette searching the cobbled streets to find clues in reliving her family lineage.

Odette says of the song; "I wrote St Helens about the early life of Mary Quinn, my own great-great grandmother on my mothers side. Like so many others, Mary's parents had fled from their homeland of Ireland during the famine and endured the arduous sea crossing to Liverpool, before first appearing on the census in the early 1850s. For young Mary, it was here that a secret teenage love story began and ended, thereby creating my own history. This is therefore the retelling of my own family story - one of an Irish union, that would have begun somewhere amongst the slums of St Helen’s...”
