I am grateful for Public Lands, and this magical place on the hill. It's been a month on the road and the three days out here I will never forget.
Solo travel can be a brute, and often the places you rest your head at night don't bring the warmest of vibes. But you inevitably find the spots that make it all worthwhile. You settle in and feel you've become a part of that place. Clued into the wind patterns and arc of the sun as you chase the shadows under the heat of the day.
I watched this storm role in across the valley for most of the afternoon until it was on top of me. What followed was one of the coolest rainbow encounters I've ever experienced.
Oh Montana. This must be the place.
