As part of the Center for Ethics Public Lecture Series, The Murphy Institute at Tulane University welcomed Virgil Storr on April 24, 2025 for a talk entitled “Do Markets Corrupt Our Morals?”. Storr is a Professor of Economics at George Mason University who specializes in the social and moral aspects of markets, the challenges of community recovery after disasters, how culture affects economic activity, and the social and economic history of the Bahamas.
The Public Lecture Series, hosted by The Murphy Institute’s Center for Ethics, serves as a vital platform for intellectual exchange. It brings together scholars and practitioners from a broad range of intellectual and professional disciplines and concerned citizens to engage with pressing ethical questions.
