TIMELINE Hand Motions & Explanation:
Napoleon: ASL letter N
Crowned: Crown on head
Emperor: Right E-hand begins at left shoulder and moves diagonally to right hip.
France: Right F turned inward to palm-in.
Liberation: Both wrists crossed and pull apart as if you are breaking free from being tied up.
South: Right S hand is moved straight down
War: Palm-in curved 5-hands move from side to side
1812: Both fists in a line at neck-height, “blast” open (left side, right side)
Missouri: Index finger at forehead
Compromise: Both palm-down index fingers pointing away from the body come together at midline.
Immigrants: Left palm flat facing in, right hand slides underneath.
America: Fingers of both hands interlock & semi-circle from in front of the body.
