Just a few notes about this program.....

1) It was first aired around the mid nineties but a lot of it is still relevant today.

2) Yes, yes I know that he calls a female orca a male at the beginning. I dont need countless pro caps who think they are being clever pointing it out. Yes it is a mistake he shouldn't have made, but its a small mistake, so get over it.

3) the dolphins that were filmed being caught and trained were sent to an unknown park in Germany.

4) The river dolphins in the tiny tank were moved to a new large habitat in 2005, a year later the male called Apure died. He was the oldest known river dolphin, at least 42 years old. He was obviously wild caught. The remaining female called Baby was wild caught in 1975 and is still alive today. When she dies the zoos plans to house manatees in the tank.

5) Yogi the commersons dolphin was caught from the wild in 1978 and sent to Duisberg zoo in Germany where all of his pod mates that were caught at the same time died soon afterwards. Yogi was kept with the parks belugas until they were moved to SeaWorld San Diego in 2004. He did not get along with the parks other commersons and was kept in a back exhibit on his own until he died a few months later.
A sad end for the oldest ever commersons dolphin in captivity. He was fully grown when caught an estimated to be in his 30's.

6) It says in the commentary that the zoo director wanted to catch more belugas but he died shortly after filming and they were never caught.
