The first time through here, you hadn't had time to stop and enjoy the scenery. Hancock kept pushing you along, hoping we could solve his little problem. But now, bereft of expediency and intention, you can take it slowly.
The leaves crunch underfoot as your hand lays gently upon the damp and mossy shrine, its stone weathered on all edges. It smells of life, a wet earthiness that greets your nostrils, bringing a soft smile to your lips. A light breeze pushes through the trees above, shaking their leaves in a sound not unlike that of rain.
As the breeze dies briefly, you realize the sound of rain has not faded, and looking around you notice heavy drops of water dropped from the trees above, pooling from a sudden rainstorm common to Mount Rokkon.
The bamboo umbrella swings out and opens in your hands before you step away from the shrine and reach your hand out, trying to capture some of the larger drops.
"There's beauty in all things, my friend!" Hancock's voice calls out from behind you.
You can't help but roll your eyes. Of course he would pop up when least expected. But...
Perhaps this moment would be best shared.
