Tensions were reported in areas including Dak Bungalow Chowk, Aurangabad, and Bhagalpur, where protesters allegedly threw stones and bricks at security personnel. Police used lathi charge and tear gas shells to disperse the crowd and detained several students. JJD chief Tej Pratap Yadav, who joined the protest in support of demonstrators, was also taken into custody. Police said those responsible for the violence and attempts to break barricades would be identified and legal action would be taken.
