I met Chima Dike a few months back when I came to Owerri, Imo state for my youth service, we were working at the same organization.
She suffers from Charcot–Marie–Tooth disease (CMT) one of the hereditary motor and sensory neuropathies, a group of varied inherited disorders of the peripheral nervous system characterized by progressive loss of muscle tissue and touch sensation across various parts of the body.
Yet her joy and positivity towards life was just too contagious, she would always insist her wheels didn't define her.
She decided to tell her camp experience as she persisted against all odds as an encouragement to others.
