Описание: SITUATION:

For the past month, red ground forces have been amassing on the north side of the Inguri river, consisting of a mixed armor battalion (T-80U and BMP-2) with attached artillery (2S19) and tactical air defenses (ZSU-23-4, SA-9, and SA-8). Regimental air defenses (SA-6) have also been deployed in the AOR. Red attack helicopters (Mi-24V) are also believed to be operating in the area.

Beginning at 0810 local, red forces began artillery bombardment of Georgian forces protecting the southern side of the Inguri. Specifically, in the vicinity of the bridge leading into Koki. Georgian forces have two armor (T-72B) companies in a blocking position, with a third enroute from the south

OBJECTIVE:

Georgian forces require immediate close air support. 308 is tasked with destruction of BMP-2 company in road march in the vicinity of waypoint 3.

Use radio command 'Engage Mission and Rejoin' to ensure your wingman attacks the planned target.

You will be part of a strike package consisting of fighter escort (4xF-14A CHEVY) and SEAD escort (2xF/A-18C UZI). This mission is designed to be flown with 'allied flight reports' enabled in your gameplay options. Calls from package members will be limited to the following information:

Escort: pushing from holding orbit; enemy aircraft kills
SEAD: pushing from holding orbit; location of enemy SAM being attacked; location of enemy SAM destroyed


Mission Success Criteria:

1. Destroy 50% of the BMP-2 company or degrade the effectiveness of units in the area sufficiently to slow their attack.
