When a person concentrates on a "thing," they have the ideas and concepts of that "thing" dominant in the mind. After time they may forget those things and have to remember them. Eventually, after a need to not forget the mind will never forget. If they have those concepts stay as permanent and continually dominant, they will more likely Have this happen and embody them as personality traits.

I can easily forget things, but when they are always in the back ground, I always remember.
You may or may not have become an ascended master with these traits, but you have a better chance of concentrating that with constant reminders.

Passive thoughts.
Thoughts that happen without trying, like the how some people are just optimistic...
They automatically want to think of a positive version of things.
Every one is different and focuses the mind on different things.

I like the chat bot example: Chat bot is a program designed to talk to you like a human, so it has things that it says.
Very robotic and repetitive in its words at first.
It is adaptive and records all of your responses, so that it can have more normal human conversations.
every thing you say goes to the chat bots "subconscious" for storing and use later.
The more you say a certain thing to the bot the more it records.
Eventually it can know all of American history, because you told it every statement of that subject.
But, you told it a lot of other things also, so it picks from a huge list of its original and your responses.
It may not actually talk about American history. it may choose some thing else since each statement is just one chance out of every thought.
If you repeatedly told the bot about the same American History, it would have the same things recorded two times or more giving the bot a higher chance to select those statements.
Eventually, the bot will become inclined to talk about this subject with every one if it has the same thing in its data base many times.

I believe that all technology is just primitive versions of what the human can do.
So, we are like the chat bot in some ways but far more intricate.

Personally, I find it easier to have my goals come to fruition if I am constantly reminded of them
