Débora guides us through the history of Brazil to address colorism and the racial limbo in which light-skinned black people and/or mixed-race people are socially placed.
She shares her personal experience and invites us to understand the racial identity journey that mixed-race people go through, often being faced with the experience of double belonging, which may mean not fully belonging or fitting in either racial group Débora Montibeler is a diversity and inclusion specialist, responsible for assisting companies in implementing and sustaining D&I strategies. In addition, she is a member of the Pact Association for the Promotion of Racial Equity, the Advisory Board of UNESCO-SOST Transcriativa and EUCONECTO, a movement that emerged to connect women with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Psychologist with a master's degree in Social Psychology, focusing on processes of subjectivation, gender studies and formation of the racial identity of the Brazilian black population. Currently, her focus of studies revolves around colorism and its effects on the constitution of the identity of light-skinned black people.
