Betty Amongi’s candidature to run for Lira City has sparked of debates on political discourse in Lira City.
Another bombshell came in over the weekend when internal affairs Minister Maj Gen Kahinda Otafire visited Lira City and questioned the spirit in which a minister leaves her constituency and moves to dislodge a colleague with significant contribution.
It was a day of celebration and controversy at the Lira City Bodaboda Festival. The festival, organized over the weekend by the Lira United Motorcycle Association (LUMBA) in conjunction with Lira City Woman MP Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng, drew thousands of participants and notable political figures, including Maj.
