Описание: Just reflecting on what last night was, it was definitely a win for the indie Malaysian music scene. All 15 bands who made it into the finals of Anugerah Lagu Indie 2024 brought their A game. Massive congratulations to Odelia for bagging the Best Pop Song Award, B-Heart for the Best Hip Hop Song Award and Mafidz for bagging the Best Rock Song Award and overall winner of Anugerah Lagu Indie 2024.

The thing is, it was a win for every band. For every band that had the guts to send in their song to be evaluated, to be judged, to be scrutinized; kudos to you all. This platform is a testament that the Malaysian indie music scene is alive and it's kicking ass more than ever. Over the years, we've heard that Malaysian bands suck and all that jazz, but the truth is, it's on par with the world. It only takes a bit of discovery. There are so many pockets of events and shows with artists that are undiscovered; too talented not to be.

Although we didn't win anything, we put on a good show and we have this killer video. Mad props to the sound crew and everyone that were involved in making the awards a success. It was an honour to be able to play the show and be one of the 15 finalists.

That being said, continue supporting your local bands. Continue to go to shows, buy their merch and show them love.
