I wasn’t always Emil Joseph.
Once, I was a kid on the streets of the Philippines…
hungry, invisible, and unsure if I even had a real name.
But the moment someone asked,
“What’s your name?”
— everything changed.
This is a story about identity.
About belonging.
About the names we’re given… and the names we grow into.
From a street kid called Rudolfo…
to a boy saved by a Catholic orphanage…
to a son adopted into a new life…
to a Navy corpsman carrying a name filled with purpose…
My name became my reminder:
“God will provide.”
