Punjab government has prepared to launch feasibility studies for the major infrastructure upgrades in Rawalpindi region including underpasses at Sadiqabad Chowk and Marrir Chowk, and a flyover on IJ Principal Road as well.

The Rawalpindi Development Authority has been asked to prepare feasibility report and designs of the projects. Each project has been tentatively allocated with Rs. 40 million as estimated cost for initial studies.
