Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer - Why I would have a big Touring bike - and a Mutter

Описание: As the name suggests, I ride all year round and in all weather (well nearly all weather) and when it really gets tough I like to know that the motorcycle I am riding can cope. Last year in particular we had some extreme wind and rain and without my trusted Triumph Tiger 1050 I would have been stuck. The smaller bikes are fine but tend to get blown about in gusty wind and you can get swamped by heavy rain and traffic. The Tiger helped keep me planted and out of the worst, having that higher riding position really helps. However, it was a very heavy and top loaded beast that was at times difficult to manhandle and although I never did drop it there were times I came close. As you know I changed the 1050 for the 900 which when I test rode, found to be light, well balanced and easy to move about.

When I saw Uncle Stu’s video, whilst I totally agree with the majority and the sentiment I could not help but notice that he was basing his reasoning on older bikes. I wondered if he would think the same if he tried the new bikes. Of course I can’t talk about the BMW GS as I have never tried one but I was surprised what I found with the Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer.
