First time trying to fish for pink salmon, coho and chinook on the Puyallup River. Learning where to go and how to fish the river. The method for fishing in these waters is flossing. The local fisherman find this the best method. This is opposite of snagging where you are able to have a treble hook and weight to legally snag fish as they do in Alaska.

Rod and reel - KastKing II mod fast action, 12-15 lbs, lure 1/2 - 1 1/2 ounce
Rod and reel - Fenwick HMX 10'-6' med mod fast 8 -15 lbs, paired with Daiwa Fuego 3000c, 20 lb Braid mainline
Rod and reel - Okuma Celilo 9'-6" med - light 6 -12 lbs, paired with Shimano Tranx 151HG, 20 lb braid mainline
