The Woodcreek Middle School Bel Canto Chorus (2023–2024, Varsity Treble) under the direction of Phil O’Neal performs “Heart, We Will Forget Him” (SSA) at the 2023 WMS Fall Concert, held in the WMS Amphitheater.
This poignant choral setting pairs the heartfelt text by Emily Dickinson with elegant and expressive music by Laura Farnell, showcasing the Bel Canto Chorus’s emotional depth and mature musical phrasing. The ensemble was accompanied on piano by Ashley Andreevska.
Woodcreek Middle School is located in Humble ISD, in the northeast greater Houston area of Texas, where the choir program continues a proud tradition of Fall Concerts, Winter Concerts, UIL Sweepstakes awards, Pop Shows, and community performances under the leadership of Head Choral Director Phil O’Neal and Assistant Director Colleen Ryan.
