A Historic Moment! A Dream Come True!

I’m deeply honored and humbled to be named The 2025 Adventurer of the Year by The Adventurers’ Club of Los Angeles, a club that has stood for over a century since 1921. For the 1st time in its history, this award is being given to a female adventurer and I’m proud to be that woman.

I grew up poor in Malaysia without water or electricity. My father passed away when I was just 4-year-old, my mother had to raise 5 children on her own. She often told me: “You’re a girl — you can’t do this, you can’t do that.”
She would remind me: “You don’t have a father —
you can’t do what others can.”

But deep down, I always dreamed of seeing the world. I wanted to prove that no matter where you come from, your dreams are valid. And today, standing here as The 1st Woman to receive this award, I know that dreamers everywhere especially young girls can see that “Anything is Possible”!

This award is not just for me, but for every woman who has ever been told she can’t. Today, we prove that we can! A Big Thank You to all the people who helped me along the way, without you this is not possible!
