Exploring Hermanus: No Whales, But Wine Hoppers and Abalone | Garden Route Vlog

Join me as I head to Hermanus, a stunning coastal gem on South Africa's famous Garden Route. While most people come here just for the whales, I discovered that this town has so much more to offer!

I have been using the Bazbus service since I left Port Elizabeth and every time I meet new people and the ride is always smooth and hassle-free!

In this vlog, we kick things off by climbing Hoy's Koppie for a 360-degree view of the town and the ocean. I also take a walk through the Biodiversity Walk to learn about the unique Fynbos flora before heading to the New Harbor. I tried to spot some whales, but nature had other plans—nonetheless, I did manage to try some local Abalone (Perlemoen) for the very first time!

To top it all off, I headed into the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley for a wine tour that was absolutely incredible. If you're planning a trip to the Western Cape, Hermanus needs to be on your list.
