In June 2025, we ran a series of events to celebrate Homeworlds, our deepest strategy game. The first event was a Homeworlds 101 class, because the best way to learn Homeworlds is to just play around with the pieces and learn as you go. If you missed that class, you can still learn the same way by watching this video! In this video, you will learn the seven basic rules of Homeworlds. If this were chess, Homeworlds 101 is like a chess class that teaches you how each of the pieces moves and how to capture opponent pieces. There’s still a lot of strategy to learn, some of which is taught in Homeworlds 201.
