In the wintertime, we keep the aldabras in a pen in the back of the farm. But over the winter, they eat all of the grass out of their pen. In the Spring, we let them out in one of the main yards to get some grazing; you can just see they're happy being out. I raised all four of these males from hatchlings. Today they're 29 years old and weight just under 600 lbs.
