Описание: There is the potential for a big weather system in the southeast late next week - a cutoff, slow moving, soaking rain low. There is low confidence at this stage as it is a full week away, but all four weather models are onboard at this early stage

This is as cooler air works its way up the east coast over the weekend and lingers at times next week, while warmer air builds over the interior and spreads down into the southeast

We have pre-main-event shows of showers and thunderstorms with troughs moving across the eastern states late in the weekend and early to mid next week. These may bring local heavy rain but the widespread activity looks on the light side

The latest on influences from the Pacific and Indian Oceans (see about half way through the video), and our warmer than average oceans around northern Australia - meaning the moisture part of the rain equation has a big tick for the next few months. The question is, what low pressure will turn that into rain, and where will it move?
