Описание: Now onward to the second biggest "well duh" moment in thermodynamics. If gas power cycles waste a bunch of heat by exhausting it to the atmosphere, and we need heat to run a vapor power cycle, why not just combine them? That is the essence of a combined cycle. The exhaust gases from a Brayton cycle are used to heat and vaporize the water from a Rankine cycle. This amazingly is pushing efficiencies close to the Carnot limit!
