In situs inversus totalis (with dextrocardia), all of the visceral organs are located in the opposite side of the body in mirror reflection of their normal position and rotation. As we can see in this image, the cardiac silhouette is located in the right hemithorax with the cardiac apex pointing towards the right. The descending aorta is also on the right side, as opposed to its usual position on the left.
