Nitin Nabin formally assumed the post of National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday. In his new role, the 45-year-old succeeded JP Nadda, who is currently a Union minister. The change-of-guard is taking place at the BJP headquarters in Delhi in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, and several other senior party leaders.
