Описание: In this second part of his talk on the relationship of contemplation and action, Fr. Thomas Keating defines the role of the contemplative in helping the human family move toward greater justice through acts of love. Contemplative prayer transforms people who then manifest the Divine Mystery in ordinary life. Fr. Keating cites the example of Helder Camara who worked with basic communities in South America as an example of Gospel values informing networks of people. The Beatitudes call Christians to be peace makers, not peace lovers—to respect and serve others in concrete ways that lead to justice here and now.

This is one video in a series of 31 hour-long talks by Thomas Keating that make up his foundational video teachings, “The Spiritual Journey with Fr.
