Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, Roman Bridge, Jewish Quarter.
The mosque-cathedral in Córdoba, Spain, is formally known as the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption (Spanish: Catedral de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción). It is also commonly referred to as the Mosque–Cathedral of Córdoba (Spanish: Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba). It was once known as the Great Mosque of Córdoba. The Moorish architecture is evident.
The Roman Bridge of Córdoba is a historic bridge that spans the Guadalquivir River. Originally built in the early 1st century BC during the Roman period, it has undergone several restorations over the centuries. The bridge is approximately 247 meters long and features 16 arches. It served as a crucial crossing point and was part of the Via Augusta, an important Roman road. Today, the bridge is a pedestrian walkway, offering stunning views of the city and the Mosque–Cathedral of Córdoba.
The Jewish Quarter of Córdoba, known as La Judería, is a historic area located in the northeastern part of the city's historic center. It dates back to the 10th century and was home to a thriving Jewish community until the 15th century. The quarter is characterized by its narrow, winding streets, whitewashed buildings, and charming courtyards. Key landmarks include the Córdoba Synagogue, built in 1315, and the Statue of Maimonides, a renowned Jewish philosopher born in Córdoba.
