A special client asked me to make a serving board from a pretty piece of wood. I got a piece of figured walnut from my local sawmill and turned it on the lathe. I finished it with butcher's block conditioner, which is a mix of mineral oil and waxes. This is the prettiest piece of wood I have had in the garage yet.
