You may get breakthrough tremors as you encounter different circumstances. ET is a progressive neurological condition so your tremors may get worse over time as well. That factor may cause you to think that the DBS is no longer working, but in most situations that is not the case. My point is this, don’t go into having DBS thinking it will get rid of all of the tremors. In most cases it won’t. Instead, go into saying that one day with less tremors than the day before is a great thing! I am so thankful that I had DBS.
