Anyone else feeling a bit of AI fatigue right now?
A lot of companies jumped in thinking AI would deliver instant results.
Some even cut people, only to rehire later.
I’ve been there. We spent months building AI sourcing workflows. Useful? Yeah. Game-changing overnight? Not really.
There’s a big gap between theory & reality.
We’ve seen this before in recruitment.
First job boards were going to take every recruiters job, then LinkedIn.....
The reality is it just changed the rules of engagement & reality didn't always match the hype.
Same thing with AI. Brilliant tech, but often built by folks who don’t fully get the day-to-day grind of the industries they’re building for.
You can tell when a tool was made in a lab, not in the field!
And implementation? That’s a whole other beast. Big companies move slow.
Bureaucracy, change resistance, politics all the stuff AI can’t fix.
AI isn’t a fad it’s just on a slower timeline than 'the hype' promised. The gains will come, just not overnight.
Let’s cool the hype, keep experimenting, and be real about what adoption actually takes.
