Kerala Train Arson Case: Self-radicalised Delhi man named in NIA chargsheet

Описание: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has revealed that the Kerala train arson incident, resulting in the death of three passengers, including a child, was a jihadi terror act. The sole accused, Sharukh alias Sharukh Saifi, a self-radicalized resident of Shaheen Bagh, intentionally set a bogey of the Alappuzha-Kannur Executive Express on fire with the intent to kill people. Saifi was driven by online propaganda favoring violent extremism and jihad, influenced by radical Islamic preachers from India and abroad. He executed the act to create terror and went unrecognized, eventually fleeing to Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, where he was arrested.
