It was formed from an extinct volcano and is completely surrounded by cliffs, some of which are 500 meters high. The cliffs themselves drop almost vertically into the sea in many places. The island cannot be explored, and helicopters are unavailable as the nearest airport is 2,400 kilometers away. The combination of extreme isolation, endemic species, and a virtually untouched ecosystem makes the wildlife of the Inaccessible Island unique.

Cape Town International Airport (FACT):
At a distance of almost 3,200 kilometers, this is the closest airport to our mysterious island. Cape Town International Airport is South Africa's second-largest airport and is located about 20 kilometers from the city center.
This is where we begin our journey.

Tristan da Cunha:
It is part of the British Overseas Territory of Saint Helena.
The island is part of a volcanic archipelago dominated by Queen Mary's Peak, a 2,130-meter-high volcano. Its unique geography, with its rugged coastline and mountainous terrain, makes it an ecological treasure with diverse bird and marine wildlife. Incredibly, only about 250 people live here in a close-knit community. Life is characterized by isolation: there is no airport, and ships reach the island only a few times a year.

"Inaccessible Island":
Its isolation makes it a refuge for unique animal species, including the endemic Inaccessible Island Rail, the world's smallest flightless bird.
It is likely one of the last untouched places on Earth.
There are no natural harbors or entrances. Few explorers have ever set foot on the island.

Airbus A400M Atlas:
A versatile four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft from Airbus Defence and Space, whose maiden flight took place on December 11, 2009. Designed to replace older aircraft such as the C-130 Hercules and the Transall, it serves as a tactical transport aircraft with strategic capabilities for troop transport, cargo delivery, aerial refueling, and medical evacuation.
Approximately 124 aircraft were delivered by 2025.
