Excited to bring you guys this rather obscure scotch and cream cocktail. Another good one around the holiday and should definitely make it into your cocktail rotation. It also has a pretty interesting history behind it.
In 1475 the Earl Of Athol found himself in need of putting down an uprising of his tenants (on his land) trying to find a peaceful way of putting down the rebellion he decided that instead of using violence, he would spike the well (of the rebels) with a mixture of Scotch, cream, honey and Oatmeal Brose. True to former most Scottish men, when they discovered their well tainted by the glorious substance, they decided to drink it all up, get drunk and that enabled our very forward thinking Earl to swoop in and arrest them all. Not sure what became of them after that but judging by Scottish history I'm sure if it were a slap on the wrist, it was probably a pretty violent one. If you are wondering what oatmeal broke is it is a scottish form of porridge mixed with boiling water and allowed to sit and harden, it is then eaten with salt and butter. What makes this different from regular oatmeal? Not sure, maybe we should ask a Scotsman.

Also we have to apologize that this is the third upload of this particular video. There have been a few times that we found some inconsistencies we wanted to fix with further editing. Some stuff fell through the cracks due to time being short on our end and wanting to get every video up early in the day each Thursday but I pledge to you that we will be more discerning before posting from here on out.
